Never will go back there again.... I had to return over $400 of boots. They provided me with no receipt of my transaction, and said I would get an email with the receipt. This transition took over 20 minutes of me standing in front of the cashier. I complained and said I needed a receipt, checking my phone constantly for this "email". I was told by the manager to call customer service. I was already late for picking up my child, so I had to leave with no receipt. I now spent 30 more minutes of my time on the phone calling customer service. They said it could take 24 hours to get a receipt. It has now been 24 hours, still no receipt. Yes I did check my spam, and yes they did have the correct email address. I just pray they don't steal my return.
When I entered the store no one greeted me but greeted other people that came after me. Then a man pretty much followed me around the store the entire time I was shopping as I was checking out he came to the register and continued to watch me. Please ensure your staff is making everyone feel welcomed on each visit and I still spent almost $80 dollars with them when I should have went to another store.
I just left this DSW and I'll say it wasn't good nor bad..just questioning "wth?". To begin the store was hot as all get out. No air or fan blowing to at least circulate the air. Second, when purchasing the shoes I wanted (after tussling putting it back in the box) the rep man handled the shoes, damn near tore up the box, disheveled the boots bc she had to check to make sure the sizes matched, STUFFED the boots back in the box w/o trying to put them back in the box correctly, then had the audacity to ask me if I want a bag. When I said "yeah", she threw the box in the bag all sideways almost making a hole. I had to spend about 3 mins (myself mind you) to get the box in the bag right and to make sure the boots don't fall out the box. I won't say I'll never shop here again, but staff please be cognitive of how you treat customers and the items they are buying. Without them, there will be no job for you to go to.
I usually come here first to look for something new at a good price. Often they don't have what I want but when they do I grab it here. The associates are usually around somewhere, can't say they are bad but they they're rarely looking to assist shoppers. They help if approached ofcourse. The men's selection has been shrinking lately. Overall I like shopping here but I'm a pretty low maintenance customer.
I used to love DSW, but in the past few years, the shoe quality is horrible, and the prices for a lesser quality are higher. Additionally, there are a lot of shoes that are the only same style leaving very little to choose from.
